What you’ll learn

The program starts with the basics and builds toward designing and evaluating AI-supported work, with no coding or technical background required.

  1. AI fundamentals and the generative AI landscapeWhat AI, machine learning and generative AI are, how large language models and AI assistants work, and how AI is changing everyday work.
  2. Generative AI tools and prompt writingUsing tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and Google Gemini; writing clear prompts; refining outputs; and reducing errors through checking and human review.
  3. Applied AI workflows and workplace automationSpotting tasks AI can help with, mapping work into repeatable steps and building reusable prompt templates and checklists.
  4. AI agent essentialsHow AI agents differ from chatbots, how they use instructions, tools and memory, and how to design, test and supervise them safely.
  5. AI ethics, security and governanceAccuracy and bias, privacy and data handling, prompt injection and deepfakes, and following your organization’s AI policies.

Skills you’ll build

Every module ties back to practical skills employers are asking for as AI becomes part of everyday work.

  • Generative AI basics: how generative AI and large language models work, and where they fit in your job.
  • Effective prompting: writing clear prompts, refining results and using AI to get more done.
  • Working with AI agents: how agents plan, use tools and operate under human oversight, and how to test and supervise them.
  • Responsible use: protecting sensitive information, checking for errors and bias, and following your organization’s AI policies.

Who it’s for

  • Office, operations, customer service and field-service staff who use AI tools day to day.
  • Employers who want their teams to use AI productively and within company policy.

What you’ll be able to do

  • Explain core AI, generative AI and AI agent concepts in plain workplace terms.
  • Write prompts that produce clear, useful results, and check AI output for accuracy and bias.
  • Design simple AI-supported workflows and decide when an AI agent is, or isn’t, the right tool.
  • Apply privacy, security and human-review practices to AI use at work.
